We harvested our first veggies from the garden the other day. I was so excited! It's such an empowering feeling knowing you can grow your own food. I seen that the other veggies were doing good as well. We've had some really cold weather this summer and the garden seems to be a little stunted, but it is still growing :)
How is your garden doing? What have you harvested so far this summer?
Cukes? Beans? My goodness-I have seen no sign of them. And my tomatoes are going to be wearing flannel shirts pretty soon if it doesn't warm up soon! You're produce looks yummy! Have a great weekend.
mmmm... it all looks scrumptious!!! YUM! I have somewhat of a brown thumb, so a garden is not a good thing for me! :(... very sad, since my grandparents were farmers! AND>. I grew up helping grandpa work in HIS amazing garden!
Sue, I was shocked to find veggies on the vine. As you know it has been cold and I thought for sure the garden would be a bust this year.
Shannon, you should try something easy to start with...a patio tomato plant or something. Think how yummy that would be :) Of course, there's probably a great farmer's market you could visit...
Just trying to keep it sane and green as I go through life as a:
*Wife
*Mom (to 2 teenagers--yikes!)
*Full time employee
*Part time business owner
*Small town resident
*Sister, Daughter, Friend
*Lover of travel, books, photography, and oceans/warm weather.
Here to share the good, bad, and ugly of life in my 'paradise'.
This and that, reviews, and giveaways...
Hope you'll visit often!
